ARTISTI’S STATEMENT
Scarlet Robins live in south-eastern and south-western Australia, as well as on Norfolk Island and from Solomon Islands to Western Samoa. They can be confused with the flame robin and red-capped robin but can be told apart by the large white patch above the bill in both male and female scarlet robins. This drawing depicts a male in all its ruby glory.
