ARTISTS’ STATEMENT

I spent a half hour in misting rain watching the lorikeets sipping nectar amongst the bottle brush flowers. I still recall the sound of them calling, the cool scents of budding greenery on the breeze. I'm so pleased to have those moments captured in a drawing that will always remind of the character and colour of these stunning birds.
