ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Two downy four-day old Paradise Shelduck ducklings hastening across the surface of a lake.
The Paradise Shelduck is native to New Zealand with males being predominantly black and females chestnut with a white neck and head. Down- covered ducklings are striped brown and white.
