ARTIST’S STATEMENT

The American and Arctic peregrine falcon is a conservation success story. Once listed as endangered due to the use of the pesticide DDT, through the ban of this chemical and efforts to release birds back into the wild, populations are now stable. The peregrine is the fastest animal in the world.
