ARTIST STATEMENT
This drawing was created in my studio close by Berowra Valley National Park, where the birds visited my garden. Rewilded behind the burgundy port wine magnolia and flame tree, the parrots supped on nectar and nibbled new shoots. Many days I watched from my studio, pencil in hand as they ranged the lawn. Daily enthralled at the crimson blaze of rosellas, the orange flash of lorikeets, and the occasional visit of magenta galahs.
